Power Studies, Inc is searching for a self-driven and detail oriented individual to join the team!  

Position:

Power System Engineer

About the Role:

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Obtain drawings, submittals, and other data to perform the power systems studies

  • Review drawings, submittals, studies, and other data

  • Enter equipment and distribution system data

  • Enter equipment AIC ratings

  • Enter circuit breaker data and settings

  • Enter Relay data and settings

  • Perform short circuit and arc flash calculations using SKM

  • Create Time Current Curves demonstrating device coordination

  • Create Impedance Drawings in SKM

  • Write reports listing the study results and list of recommendations

  • Make site visits to obtain data for studies

  • Additional Duties as Needed

Skills and Education:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Power Systems and Power System Protection is a plus

  • Minimum Computer skills including but not limited to: Basic Microsoft, Windows operating system, Microsoft Office Pro Programs, Email

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift

  • 8 hour shift

  • Choose your own hours

  • Monday to Friday

  • No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay

  • Maple Valley, WA 98038: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
