Electrical Safety Low Voltage Qualified Refresher Course
According to NFPA 70E 2015, workers must attend an electrical safety course every three years, in order to stay current on 70E updates. Refresher training is also required whenever a facility has experienced a change in equipment, procedures, or technology that would require different safety practices than what was used before, or when an individual employee must use “abnormal” safety practices that he would not typically use on a regular basis.
Designed for anyone who has completed a previous qualified electrical safety class, the 4-hour Low Voltage Qualified Refresher Course is exactly that: a “refresher” of skills presented at the 8-hour NFPA 70E Low Voltage Qualified Training Course.
Here’s what the course covers:
How NFPA 70E 2015 can be practically applied in the workplace.
How to do hazard assessments and choose appropriate PPE based on the NFPA 70E 2015 tables.
How to use your PPE properly when working around shock hazards.
How to understand and apply arc ratings.
How to understand the differences between OSHA standards and NFPA 70E 2015 standards.
How to understand the differences between arc-rated and flame resistant clothing.
The Electrical Safety Low Voltage Qualified Refresher Course is certified for CEU’s (Continuing Education Units) in many states, including Washington.
