Bacardi Corporation
Established in 1862 by Don Facundo Bacardi Masso, the Bacardi brand is known by rum lovers world-wide. The company started in Santiago de Cuba and now has locations all over the world, including Havana, San Juan, Miami, and Bermuda. The Bacardi rum plant in Puerto Rico is the largest rum distillery in the world, processing approximately 100,000 gallons of rum every day.
The electrical distribution system for this large site includes twenty medium voltage service transformers. To back up the sophisticated system and make it more reliable, there are eight generators, and seven UPS's to go along with three different looping configurations.
