Skills and Education:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Emphasis on Power Systems and Power System Protection
Minimum Computer skills including but not limited to:
Basic Microsoft Windows operating system
Microsoft Office Pro Programs
Emails
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Obtain drawings, submittals, and other data to perform the power systems studies
Review drawings, submittals, studies, and other data
Enter equipment and distribution system into SKM and an access database, PSDB
Enter equipment AIC ratings into PSDB
Enter circuit breaker data and settings into PSDB and SKM
Enter Relay data and settings into PSDB, SKM and relay software
Perform short circuit and arc flash calculations using SKM.
Create Time Current Curves demonstrating device coordination using SKM
Create Impedance Drawings in SKM
Write reports listing the study results and list of recommendations
Make site visits to obtain data for studies
Additional Duties as Needed
